Jenrose: Bio

Jenrose

Jenrose is a Kentucky-based singer/ songwriter with a soulful voice and eclectic writing style. Her songs display a motley mix of influences, with tinges of blues, country, folk, pop, jazz, and soul. Inspired by songwriters from Lucinda Williams and Emmylou Harris to Michelle Shocked and Patty Griffin, Jenrose’s songs cover a wide range of musical and lyrical styles. The common thread that runs through all of her music is a passion for story-telling and an appreciation of the well-crafted song.

Kentucky Bootleggers

Before going solo, Jenrose played as part of a musical outfit called the Kentucky Bootleggers. The group still makes rare appearances at special events.

The bootlegger motto: “Good music is like moonshine: Every batch is different, but whatever the mix, you are sure to go away intoxicated.”
